การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) พัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้กระบวนการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ 2) เพื่อพัฒนาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนและ 3) เพื่อส่งเสริมเจตคติต่อการเรียนของนักเรียน กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นนักเรียน ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1 โรงเรียนบ้านสายปลาหลาย (คุรุราษฎร์ผดุง) สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาสกลนคร เขต 1 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2551 จำนวน 7 คน การวิจัยครั้งนี้ใช้รูปแบบการวิจัย เชิงปฏิบัติการซึ่งมีขั้นตอนในการปฏิบัติ 4 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นวางแผน ขั้นปฏิบัติการ ขั้นสังเกตการณ์ และขั้นสะท้อนผลการปฏิบัติ โดยดำเนินการ 3 วงรอบ ดำเนินการโดยให้นักเรียนปฏิบัติตามวงรอบของการวิจัย นำข้อมูลจากผลการปฏิบัติในวงรอบที่ 1 มาวางแผนปฏิบัติในวงรอบที่ 2 และนำข้อมูลจากผลการปฏิบัติในวงรอบที่ 2 เป็นข้อมูลวางแผนปฏิบัติในวงรอบที่ 3 รวมรวมข้อมูลจากวงรอบที่ 1- 3 สะท้อนผลการพัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย  1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ 2) แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมการเรียนของนักเรียน 3) แบบสัมภาษณ์นักเรียน 4) แบบวัดเจตคติต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ 5) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณวิเคราะห์โดยใช้สถิติพื้นฐาน คือ หาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย () และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. กิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษที่พัฒนาขึ้นในแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษจำนวน 20 แผนการเรียนรู้ จำแนกเป็น ชุดที่ 1 ใช้ในวงรอบที่ 1 คัดกรองปัญหาและแนวทางปฏิบัติ ชุดที่ 2 ใช้ในวงรอบที่ 2 ชี้ชัดการพัฒนา และชุดที่ 3 ใช้ในวงรอบที่ 3  นำพาวัตถุประสงค์ ซึ่งแผนการเรียนรู้ได้ผ่านการพัฒนาโดยกระบวนการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ส่งผลต่อผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนและเจตคติต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ  ให้สูงขึ้น

2. ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษหลังจากกระบวนการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการครบทั้ง 3 วงรอบ พบว่า นักเรียนทั้ง 7 คน มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ผ่านเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 60 ของคะแนนเต็ม และ มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยของนักเรียนทั้งชั้น คิดเป็นร้อยละ 98.57

3. เจตคติต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 1 หลังจากการร่วมกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ พบว่า ของนักเรียนมีเจตคติต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษในระดับมาก คิดเป็นร้อยละ 97.67

This research aimed to : 1) develop the English instructional activities by action research process, 2) enhance English learning achievement and 3) enhance the students’ attitudes toward learning English. The target group consisted of 7 first graders who were studying in the second semester of 2008 academic year at Ban Saiplalai School (Kuraradphadung). This research was conducted by having the students perform three spirals of the research activities. The results gained from the first spiral were used as the basic data for planning in all the activities in the second spiral and the results gained in the second spiral were used as the basic data for planning all the activities in the third spiral. Then all results from the first to third spirals were used to reflect the effects of the developed English instructional activities. In this study, the action research was composed of 4 stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The instruments used were 1) English learning plans which were designed with the basis of learner centered approach,  2) observation form for recording the students’ behavior, 3) interview form, 4) questionnaire to measure the students’ attitudes towards English, and 5) an achievement test. The basic statistics of mean and standard deviation    were employed to analyze the quantitative data.

The study revealed the following results:

1. The English instructional activities contained 20 learning plans which included 3 learning packages of the three spirals – Spiral 1:  Screening the problems to find guidelines for performing the activities; Spiral 2:  Identifying the development; Spiral 3: Establishing the objectives. These learning plans had been systematically and effectively developed resulting in an increase of the students’ achievement and attitudes towards English.

2. After the three spirals of the action research were conducted, all 7 students had passed 60 percent of the achievement test and the whole class had the mean score of 98.57 percent.

3. After the first graders had taken part in the developed English instructional activities of this action research, 97.67 of all students had high attitudes toward English.
