การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) พัฒนารูปแบบโครงสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุของปัจจัยคุณภาพครูที่ส่งผลต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนในช่วงต้นของศตวรรษที่ 21 และ     2) ตรวจสอบความสอดคล้องของรูปแบบโครงสร้างความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุของปัจจัยคุณภาพครูที่ส่งผลต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนในช่วงต้นของศตวรรษที่ 21 ที่พัฒนาขึ้นกับข้อมูล       เชิงประจักษ์ การวิจัยแบ่งเป็นสองระยะ คือ ระยะแรกเป็นการกำหนดกรอบแนวคิดในการวิจัย โดยการศึกษาเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง สัมภาษณ์ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 11 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งมีโครงสร้าง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา (Content Analysis) ระยะที่สองเป็นการตรวจสอบสมมติฐานการวิจัย   กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน ปีการศึกษา 2558 จำนวน 380 คน ได้มาโดยการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน (Multi-stage Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถามชนิดมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ มีค่าอำนาจจำแนกระหว่าง 0.52 ถึง 0.82 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.94 สถิติที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลประกอบด้วย ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน (Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient) และใช้โปรแกรม LISREL 8.72 ในการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันและตรวจสอบความสอดคล้องระหว่างรูปแบบ  เชิงสมมติฐานกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ปัจจัยคุณภาพครูที่มีอิทธิพลต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนในช่วงต้นของศตวรรษที่ 21 มี 4 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ การมุ่งมั่นพัฒนา คุณลักษณะส่วนตัว คุณธรรมและจรรยาบรรณและทักษะการสอน

2. รูปแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีความสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเชิงประจักษ์ โดยมีค่าสถิติ ดังนี้   Chi-square = 116.92, df = 102, p-value = 0.14834, χ2/df = 1.1462, RMSEA = 0.02,    GFI = 0.97, AGFI = 0.94, CN = 415.40, CFI = 1.00, RMR = 0.0016 ค่าอิทธิพลของปัจจัยคุณภาพครูที่ส่งผลต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนในช่วงต้นของศตวรรษที่ 21 สามารถจัดลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อยดังนี้ การมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาของครูมีอิทธิพลทางตรงต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือ คุณลักษณะส่วนตัวของครู คุณธรรมและจรรยาบรรณของครู และทักษะการสอนของครู คุณลักษณะส่วนตัวของครูและการมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาของครูมีอิทธิพลทางอ้อมต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียน การมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาของครูมีอิทธิพลรวมต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนมากที่สุด รองลงมาคือ คุณธรรมและจรรยาบรรณของครู คุณลักษณะส่วนตัวของครู และทักษะการสอนของครู เมื่อพิจารณาจากค่าสัมประสิทธิ์พยากรณ์ (R2) ของปัจจัยคุณภาพครูที่ส่งผลต่อคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนในช่วงต้นของศตวรรษที่ 21 พบว่า การมุ่งมั่นพัฒนาของครู คุณลักษณะส่วนตัวของครู คุณธรรมและจรรยาบรรณของครู และทักษะการสอนของครู สามารถร่วมกันอธิบายคุณลักษณะของนักเรียนได้ร้อยละ 31

The purpose(s) of this research was (were) to 1) develop a causal relationship model of teacher quality factors on student characteristics at the beginning of the 21st century, and 2) verify the developed causal relationship model of teacher quality factors on student characteristics at the beginning of the 21st century with the empirical data.   The study was conducted in 2 phases. Phase 1 was the construction of research conceptual framework by studying of relevant papers and researches, as well as interviewing 11 experts. Data collection tool was a set of semi-structured questionnaire. Data collected was then analyzed by content analysis. The second phase was the hypothesis test. The subjects were 380 school directors and teachers under Secondary Education Service Office, Office of the Basic Education Commission in the academic year 2558, selected through multi-stage random sampling.  The tool used was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with discrimination power between 0.52 – 0.82 and reliability value at 0.94. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. LISREL software version 8.72 was employed in the analysis of the confirmatory factors and the examination of goodness of fit between the hypothesis model and the empirical data.

The result(s) of this research revealed that:

1. Teacher quality factors that effected student characteristics in the beginning of the 21st century, were 4 components which were determination for development, personal characteristics, virtue and ethics, and teaching skills.

2. The developed model has goodness-of-fit with the empirical data with the statistics as follows: Chi-square = 116.92, df = 102, p-value = 0.14834, χ2/df = 1.1462, RMSEA = 0.02, GFI = 0.97, AGFI = 0.94, CN = 415.40, CFI = 1.00, RMR = 0.0016. Effects of teacher quality factors on student characteristics at the beginning of the 21st century could be arrange in sequence, from highest to lowest importance, as follows. Teacher’s determination for development has the highest direct effect on student characteristics, followed by teacher’s personal characteristics, teacher’s virtue and ethics, and teaching skills. For the indirect effects, the highest ranking ones were teacher’s personal characteristics and teacher’s determination for development. For the total effects, the most important one was teacher’s determination for development, followed by teacher’s virtue and ethics, teacher’s personal characteristics, and teaching skills. When examined from Coefficient of Determination (R2) of teacher quality factor on student characteristics at the beginning of the 21st century, it was revealed that teacher’s determination for development, personal characteristics, teacher’s virtue and ethics, and teaching skills could altogether explain 31 percent of student characteristics.
