การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับการบริหารงานตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล และประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม 2) เพื่อศึกษาอิทธิพลของการบริหารงานตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล ที่ส่งผลต่อประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม 3) เพื่อหาแนวทางในการพัฒนาประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ ประชาชนที่มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม จำนวน 394 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล และสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณ 

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 

1) การบริหารงานตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล ขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนมโดยภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับมาก ( =3.69) ประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม 
โดยภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับมาก ( =3.68) 

2) การบริหารงานตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล ขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม ทุกด้าน มีอิทธิพลต่อประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 โดยมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์พยากรณ์ = .741 ซึ่ง การบริหารงานตามหลักธรรมาภิบาล ทุกด้าน สามารถร่วมกันทำนายประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม ได้ร้อยละ 74.10

3) แนวทางในการพัฒนาประสิทธิผลในการบริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในเขตอำเภอนาทม จังหวัดนครพนม ได้แก่ ควรมีการกำหนดนโยบายและเป้าหมายในการดำเนินงานของหน่วยงานให้ชัดเจน มีความเหมาะสมเอื้อให้งานสำเร็จลุล่วง ควรมีการจัดระบบการทำงานให้มีความคล่องตัวและมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยยึดถือประโยชน์สุขของประชาชนเป็นหลัก ควรมีการปรับปรุงและพัฒนาการบริการประชาชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง สม่ำเสมอ ให้ทันกับสภาพสังคมที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่ทุกวัน และควรพัฒนาระดับการให้บริการ โดยเน้นการอำนวยความสะดวกให้แก่ประชาชนที่มาใช้บริการ

The purposes of this research included the following: 1) to study the level of good governance management and the effectiveness of managing the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province, 2) to investigate the influences of good governance management on the effectiveness of managing the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province, and 3) to examine and gain guidelines on developing the effectiveness of managing the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province. The samples consisted of 394 people who were domiciled in the Local Administration Organizations of Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect the data and statistics used for data analysis comprised of frequency, percentage, mean, and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.

The findings were as follows:

1. Applying good governance to manage the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province, as a whole, was at a high level ( =3.69). Likewise, the effectiveness of managing the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province, as a whole, was at the high level ( =3.68).

2. The good governance of the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province significantly influenced on the effectiveness of managing the Local Administration Organizations of Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province at .05 statistical level and with a predictive coefficient of .741. In addition, all aspects of applying good governance to manage Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province could be used to correctly predict the effectiveness of the administration of the Local Administration Organizations 74.10%.

3. Several guidelines on improving the effectiveness of managing the Local Administration Organizations in Na Thom District, Nakhon Phanom Province were obtained from the study. The policies and goals of functioning the jobs by the organizations should be clearly defined and established. Their work systems should be flexibly and efficiently set and organized mainly and particularly for the benefits of the people. All services provided for the people should be continuously improved so that these services could appear modern keeping up with the changing social conditions. The level of the services of the Local Administration Organizations should be upgraded in order to provide adequate conveniences to the people who visited and requested for different kinds of services.
