การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) ศึกษาระดับภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา 2) ศึกษาระดับประสิทธิผลของโรงเรียน 3) เปรียบเทียบภาวะผู้นำ วิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสกลนคร เขต 1 ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน จำแนกตามสถานภาพการดำรงตำแหน่ง ประสบการณ์การปฏิบัติงาน และขนาดของโรงเรียน 4) เปรียบเทียบประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียน ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน จำแนกตามสถานภาพการดำรงตำแหน่ง ประสบการณ์การปฏิบัติงาน และขนาดของโรงเรียน 5) ศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษากับประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียน 6) หาแนวทางพัฒนาภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา 7) หาแนวทางพัฒนาประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสกลนคร เขต 1 ปีการศึกษา 2562 จำนวน 357 คน จำแนกเป็นผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา จำนวน 53 คน ครูผู้สอน จำนวน 304 คน โดยใช้ตารางของเครซี่และมอร์แกน (Krejcie and Morgan) และใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน (Multi-Stage) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมเป็นแบบสอบถาม ชนิดมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว และการวิเคราะห์ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์อย่างง่ายของเพียร์สัน (Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาตามความคิดเห็นของ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก

2. ประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียนตามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก

3. ภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหาร ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน จำแนกตามสถานภาพการดำรงตำแหน่ง และขนาดของโรงเรียน พบว่า โดยภาพรวมแตกต่างกัน อย่างนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 ส่วนจำแนกตามประสบการณ์ไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน

4. ประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียน ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาและครูผู้สอน จำแนกตามสถานภาพการดำรงตำแหน่ง และขนาดของโรงเรียน พบว่า โดยภาพรวมแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 ส่วนจำแนกตามประสบการณ์ไม่มีความแตกต่างกัน

5. ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา กับประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียนมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวก อยู่ในระดับสูง โดยมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ 0.77

6. การวิจัยครั้งนี้ได้นำเสนอแนวทางในการพัฒนาภาวะผู้นำวิถีทางเป้าหมายของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา ไว้ 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านภาวะผู้นำแบบสั่งการ และด้านภาวะผู้นำแบบมีส่วนร่วม 

7. การวิจัยในครั้งนี้ได้นำเสนอแนวทางพัฒนาประสิทธิผลการบริหารงานโรงเรียนไว้ 2 ด้าน คือ ด้านการบริหารงานงบประมาณ และด้านการบริหารบุคคล

The purposes of this research were: 1) to examine the level of the path-goal theory leadership of school administrators, 2) to examine the level of school effectiveness, 3) to compare the path-goal theory leadership of administrators in schools under the Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as perceived by school administrators and teachers, classified by position attained, work experience and school sizes, 4) to compare school administrative effectiveness as perceived by school administrators and teachers, classified by position attained, work experience and school sizes, 5) to determine the relationship between the path-goal theory leadership of school administrators and school administrative effectiveness, 6) to establish the guidelines for developing the path-goal leadership of school administrators. 7) to establish the guidelines for developing school administrative effectiveness. The samples were school administrators and teachers working under the Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the academic year 2019, yielding a total of 357, including 53 school administrators and 304 teachers. The Krejcie and Morgan’s table and a multi-stage sampling were employed for sample size determination.  The instrument for data collection consisted of a set of 5-scale questionnaires. The statistics were mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, One-Way ANNOVA and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation analysis.

The findings revealed that

1. The path-goal theory leadership of school administrators as perceived by school administrators and teachers, as a whole was in a high level.

2. The school effectiveness as perceived by school administrators and teachers, as whole was in a high level.

3. The path-goal theory leadership of administrators as perceived by school administrators and teachers, classified by position attained and school sizes, was statistically significant at the .01 level in overall. In terms of work experience, there was no statistically significance difference.

4. The school administrative effectiveness as perceived by school administrators and teachers, classified by position attained and school sizes, as a whole was statistically significant at the .01 level in overall. In terms of work experience, there was no statistically significance difference.

5. The relationship between the path-goal theory leadership of school administrators and school administrative effectiveness was positive at a high level with the correlation coefficient of 0.77

6. The proposed guidelines for developing the path-goal leadership of school administrators involved two aspects: Directive leadership and Participative leadership.

7. The guidelines for developing school administrative effectiveness were also proposed involving two aspects: Financial administration and Personnel administration.
