การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับปัจจัยจูงใจและระดับพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม จำแนกตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล 3) เพื่อศึกษาอิทธิพลของปัจจัยจูงใจต่อพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ ประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม จำนวน 397 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล และสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณ 

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 

1) ปัจจัยจูงใจของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (x =4.10) เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า มีแรงจูงใจในระดับมาก ทุกด้าน โดยด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยมากที่สุด คือ ด้านผลสำเร็จ (x =4.17) รองลงมาคือ ด้านการแสดงพลัง (x =4.07) และด้านความผูกพัน (x =4.06) 

2) พฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (x =3.99) เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่ามีพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาในระดับมาก ทุกด้าน โดยด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยมากที่สุด คือ ด้านการช่วยเหลือผู้อื่น (x =4.02) รองลงมาคือ ด้านการเสียสละต่อสังคม (x=3.99) และด้านการมุ่งมั่นพัฒนา (x =3.96) 

3) ผลการเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม จำแนกตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล ด้านเพศ อายุ และตำบลที่อาศัยอยู่ พบว่า พฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชน ในภาพรวม ไม่แตกต่างกัน เมื่อจำแนกตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล ด้านระดับการศึกษา อาชีพ และรายได้เฉลี่ยต่อเดือน พบว่า พฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในภาพรวม มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 

4) ปัจจัยจูงใจของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม ด้านความผูกพัน (ค่าเบต้า=.236) และด้านการแสดงพลัง (ค่าเบต้า=.137) มีอิทธิพลต่อพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนด้านผลสำเร็จ ไม่มีอิทธิพลต่อพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชน โดยด้านความผูกพันและด้านการแสดงพลังสามารถร่วมกันทำนายระดับพฤติกรรมจิตอาสาของประชาชนในเขตอำเภอนาหว้า จังหวัดนครพนม ได้ร้อยละ 48.20
 

The purposes of this study included the followings: 1) to investigate the level of motivation factors and voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province, 2) to compare voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province on the basis of their personal attributes, and 3) to examine the influence of the motivation factors on the voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province. The samples were 397 people of Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire and statistics employed for data analysis comprised of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t – test, One – way ANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis. 

The study unveiled these results: 

1) The motivation factors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province, as a whole, was at the high level (x =4.10). Contemplating each aspect, 
it was found that every aspect was at the high level. The one which gained the highest mean was the success aspect (x =4.17). Demonstrating the power gained the second highest mean (x =4.07). The relationship and connection gained the third highest mean         (x =4.06). 

2) As a whole, the voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province were at the high level (x =3.99). Contemplating each aspect, every aspect of the voluntary behaviors of Nawa District people, Nakhon Phanom Province was at the high level. Of these aspects, helping others gained the highest mean ( x=4.02); sacrifice for the society gained the second highest mean ( x=3.99); and determination to develop the society gained the third highest mean (x =3.96). 

3) Comparing the voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province on the basis of their genders, ages, and locations of their residences, it was found that their voluntary behaviors, as a whole, did not differ. When classifying their voluntary behaviors on the basis of their educational backgrounds careers and monthly incomes, the study showed that their voluntary behaviors, as a whole, significantly differed at .05 statistical level. 

4) Regarding the influences of the motivation factors, it was found that the connection/ relationship ( = .236) and the demonstration of the power significantly  influenced on the voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province at .05 statistical level. However, the success relationship and the demonstration of the power could be used to correctly predict the voluntary behaviors of the people in Nawa District, Nakhon Phanom Province 48.20%.
