การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพ  ปัญหาและประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัด ในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ 2) เปรียบเทียบสภาพ ปัญหาและประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัด ในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ จำแนกตาม สถานภาพการดำรงตำแหน่งและสังกัดนิกาย 3) หาแนวทางการในการยกระดับประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัด ในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้มาโดยใช้การสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้น จำนวน 366 รูป/คน ประกอบด้วย เจ้าอาวาส จำนวน 122 รูป  พระลูกวัด จำนวน 122 รูป และไวยาวัจกร จำนวน 122 คน สังกัดมหานิกายและธรรมยุตินิกาย ในจังหวัดสกลนคร เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับสภาพ ปัญหาการบริหารวัดในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ มีค่าอำนาจจำแนกอยู่ระหว่าง 0.549 – 0.797 และมีค่าความเชื่อมั่น เท่ากับ 0.991 และประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัดในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ มีค่าอำนาจจำแนกอยู่ระหว่าง 0.316 – 0.874 และมีค่าความเชื่อมั่น เท่ากับ 0.954 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบที (t – test) ชนิด Independent Samples และการทดสอบเอฟ (F - test) แบบการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One - Way ANOVA)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. สภาพ ปัญหาและประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัด ในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ โดยรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก

2. ผลการเปรียบเทียบสภาพ ปัญหาและประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัดในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ ตามความคิดเห็นของเจ้าอาวาส พระลูกวัดและไวยาวัจกร จำแนกตามสถานภาพการดำรงตำแหน่ง พบว่า

2.1 สภาพและประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัด โดยรวม แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01

2.2 สภาพปัญหาการบริหารวัด โดยรวม ไม่แตกต่างกัน

3. ผลการเปรียบเทียบสภาพ ปัญหาและประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัดในจังหวัดสกลนคร สังกัดสำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติ ตามความคิดเห็นของเจ้าอาวาส พระลูกวัดและไวยาวัจกร จำแนกตามสังกัดนิกาย พบว่า โดยรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน

4. แนวทางการยกระดับประสิทธิผลการบริหารวัดในจังหวัดสกลนคร เสนอแนะไว้ 3 ด้าน ประกอบด้วย ด้านการปกครอง ด้านศาสนศึกษา และด้านการเผยแผ่ศาสนธรรม

The purposes of this research were to: 1) examine conditions, problems,  and administrative effectiveness of temples in Sakon Nakhon province under the ‎National Office of Buddhism; 2) compare conditions, problems and administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples in Sakon Nakhon province, classified by position, and the Theravada division; and 3) establish the guidelines for developing administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples in Sakon Nakhon province. The samples were obtained through stratified random sampling, consisting of 122 abbots, 122 Thai Buddhist monks, and 122 temple trustees, yielding a total of 366 participants from the Theravada Nikayas, Maha Nikaya and the Dhammayuttika Nikaya, in Sakon Nakhon province. The instrument for data collection was a set of questionnaire comprising the conditions and problems of administration of Buddhist temples, which had the discriminative power ranging between 0.549 – 0.797 and the reliability of 0.991. The items of the administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples had the discriminative power ranging between 0.316-0.874 with the reliability of 0.954. Statistics for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, t-test for Independent Samples, F-test (One-Way ANOVA).

The findings were as follows:

1. Conditions, problems and administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples in Sakon Nakhon province under the ‎National Office of Buddhism as a whole and each aspect were at a high level.

2. Results of a comparison concerning conditions, problems and administrative effectiveness of temples in Sakon Nakhon under the ‎National Office of Buddhism, as perceived by abbots, Buddhist monks, and temple trustees with different position, revealed that:

2.1 Conditions and administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples as a whole were statistically significant different at the .01 level.

2.2 Administrative problems of Buddhist temples in Sakon Nakhon, as perceived by the participants as a whole were not different.

3. Results from a comparison of conditions, problems, and administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples in Sakon Nakhon as perceived by the participants from different Theravada Nikays, as a whole were not different.

4. The proposed guidelines for improving administrative effectiveness of Buddhist temples in Sakon Nakhon involved three aspects: Administration, Religious Studies, and Dhamma Dissemination.
