การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพและปัญหาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยาสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 232) หาแนวทางพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนและ 3) ติดตามผลการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโดยใช้กระบวนการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วม (Participatory Action  Research)ดำเนินการ 2 วงรอบ แต่ละวงรอบประกอบด้วย 4 ขั้นตอนคือ การวางแผน  การปฏิบัติการ  การสังเกตการณ์  และการสะท้อนกลับ  กลุ่มเป้าหมายของการวิจัยประกอบด้วย กลุ่มผู้ร่วมวิจัย จำนวน 21คน และกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูล จำนวน 44 คน เป้าหมายการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ คือ นักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยา จำนวน 599คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ได้แก่ แบบสังเกตแบบสัมภาษณ์แบบประเมิน และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณใช้ ค่าเฉลี่ยค่าร้อยละ  ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานการตรวจสอบข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพทำการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content Analysis) จัดหมวดหมู่ของเนื้อหาและนำเสนอข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1.สภาพและปัญหาเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยา

1.1 สภาพเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียน พบว่า สภาพความเป็นอยู่ของนักเรียนมีฐานะยากจน ผู้ปกครองส่วนใหญ่ต้องไปทำงานต่างถิ่น ปล่อยให้นักเรียนอยู่กับผู้ปกครองที่ไม่ใช่พ่อ แม่ ทำให้ไม่มีเวลาอบรมสั่งสอน กำกับติดตามดูแลนักเรียน ทำให้นักเรียนกลุ่มดังกล่าวมีปัญหาเกี่ยวกับด้านความประพฤติไม่ปฏิบัติตามกฎระเบียบของทางโรงเรียน และไม่ปฏิบัติตามกฎกติกาของสังคม

1.2 ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยา

1.2.1 ด้านครูผู้สอน พบว่า ครูปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามความรับผิดชอบ แต่ขาดทักษะการทำงานที่เป็นระบบและต่อเนื่อง

1.2.2 ด้านนักเรียน นักเรียนส่วนหนึ่งยังไม่ปฏิบัติตามกฎ ระเบียบของทางโรงเรียน ขาดความรับผิดชอบ ไม่ปฏิบัติตามกฎ กติกาของสังคมและนักเรียนส่วนหนึ่งไม่ให้ความร่วมมือกับการจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อสาธารณะประโยชน์

2. แนวทางการจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยาประกอบด้วย

2.1 การพัฒนาบุคลากร ดำเนินการโดย การศึกษาดูงาน การอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ และการนิเทศติดตามผล

2.2 กิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนประกอบด้วยกิจกรรมหน้าเสาธง กิจกรรมโลกสวยด้วยมือเรา(กิจกรรม 5 ส.) กิจกรรมยิ้มไหว้ทักทาย กิจกรรมภาษาพาเพลิน กิจกรรมคนดีศรีดงมะไฟ กิจกรรมไหว้พระสวดมนต์ กิจกรรมแต่งกายดีมีวินัย กิจกรรมนั่งสมาธิ กิจกรรมขยะนี้มีประโยชน์กิจกรรมตาวิเศษ และกิจกรรมร่วมด้วยช่วยกันสร้างสรรค์ความดี

3. ผลการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยา พบว่า

3.1 ผลที่เกิดขึ้นกับครู ครูมีความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนเพิ่มขึ้น ครูมีความพึงพอใจต่อการศึกษาดูงานและอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด

3.2 ผลที่เกิดขึ้นกับนักเรียน นักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยา มีพฤติกรรมดีขึ้น ผู้ปกครองมีความพึงพอใจพฤติกรรมของนักเรียน อยู่ในระดับมาก และจากการศึกษาความพึงพอใจของกลุ่มผู้ร่วมวิจัย และผู้ปกครองเกี่ยวกับพฤติกรรมของนักเรียนโรงเรียนดงมะไฟวิทยา ทั้งสองวงรอบ พบว่า ผู้ร่วมวิจัยและผู้ปกครองมีความพึงพอใจพฤติกรรมของนักเรียน เพิ่มขึ้น 0.10 อยู่ในระดับมาก

This research aimed 1) to examineconditions and problems concerning students’ desirable characteristics at Dongmaftaiwitaya School under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 2; 2) to establish the guidelinesfor developingstudents’ desirable characteristics; and 3) to follow up the development of students’ desirable characteristics. The research employedtwo spirals of a four-stage participatory action researchcomprising planning, action, observation and reflection. The target researchgroup comprised 21co-researchers and 44 informants. Thetarget developmentgroup consisted of599 students at Dongmafaiwittaya School. The research instruments were observation forms, assessment forms, interview forms, and satisfaction forms. The quantitative data were analyzed through mean, percentage and standard deviation. Content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data,       in forms of content classification and descriptive presentation.

The findings revealed that

1. The conditions and problems concerning students’ desirable characteristics at Dongmafaiwitaya School under the Officeof Secondary Educational Service Area 23, were as follows:

1.1 In terms of conditions of students’ desirable characteristics, students were from poor socio-economic background.In addition, most parents working in different cities found themselves missing regular emotional or physical support for their children. Consequently, some students engaged in problematic behaviors,  which might deviate from the school regulations and social norms.

1.2 The following problems on students’ desirable characteristics revealed that:

1.2.1 In terms of teachers, they performed their duties and responsibilitiesfor developing students’ desirable characteristics butremain ingunsystematic and discontinuous.

1.2.2 In terms of students, some students failed to follow the school rules and regulations,social norms, and lacked responsible. In addition, some studentsdid not participate in school voluntary activities.

2. The guidelines for developing students’ desirable characteristics at Dongmafaiwittaya School involved:

2.1 Personnel development included field trip, workshop and supervision.

2.2 Activities for improving desirable characteristics of students at Dongmafaiwitaya School included Morning Assembly,Joining Hands to Create Beautiful World (5SImprovement), Giving a Wai and Smiling Greeting, Using Pleasant Language, Exhibiting Exemplary Values at DongMafaiWittaya, Adhering to Buddhism Concept, Dress Code and Discipline, Meditation, Recycling Garbageinto Useful Products, Magic Eyes, andHelping Each Otherto Nurture Worthy Societal Values.

3. The effectsafter the intervention revealed that:

3.1 Teachers gained better knowledge and understanding for developingstudents’ desirable characteristics.The teachersatisfaction toward a field trip and workshop was at the highest level.

3.2 The students displayed more acceptable behaviors listed on the desirable characteristics. Parentsalso reported a high levelof satisfaction with the improvement of students’ behaviors. After the completion of a two-spiral implementation, the co-researchers and parents reported ahigh satisfactionlevel towardthe improvement of students’ behaviors, with an increase of 0.10 percent.
