การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) ศึกษาปัญหาเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า 2) หาแนวทางพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า และ 3) ติดตามและประเมินผลการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะ อันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสกลนคร เขต 3  โดยใช้กระบวนการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วม (Participatory Action Research)  ดำเนินการ 2 วงรอบ แต่ละวงรอบประกอบด้วย 4 ขั้นตอนคือ การวางแผน การปฏิบัติการ การสังเกตการณ์ และการสะท้อนกลับ กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ประกอบด้วย ผู้วิจัยและกลุ่มผู้ร่วมวิจัย จำนวน 17 คน และกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูล จำนวน 111 คน กลุ่มเป้าหมายในการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ คือนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาสกลนคร เขต 3 จำนวน  290  คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ได้แก่ แบบสังเกตแบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบประเมินพฤติกรรม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณโดยการหา ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ส่วนข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพใช้การวิเคราะห์เชิงพรรณนา

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า พบว่า ในภาพรวมนักเรียนมีพฤติกรรม อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และยังมีบางส่วนมีพฤติกรรมที่ต้องปรับปรุง เช่น นักเรียนไม่ปฏิบัติตามกฎ ระเบียบของทางโรงเรียน ไม่ตั้งใจเรียน ไม่ประหยัด มีนิสัยเห็นแก่ตัว และพูดคำหยาบ

2. แนวทางการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า ประกอบด้วย 1) การศึกษาดูงาน จากโรงเรียนตัวอย่าง 2) ประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ 3) การจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียน ได้แก่ 6 กิจกรรม ประกอบด้วย กิจกรรมหน้าเสาธง กิจกรรมออมทรัพย์ กิจกรรมเขตสะอาด ติดดาว กิจกรรมบัดดี้พี่ช่วยน้อง กิจกรรมยิ้มไว้ทักทาย และกิจกรรมธนาคารความดี

3. ผลการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านบะหว้า ก่อนการจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียน พบว่า นักเรียน มีพฤติกรรมเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง หลังการจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ของนักเรียน แล้วนักเรียนมีพฤติกรรมเกี่ยวกับคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์ ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด

The purposes of this research were to 1) investigate problems of student desired characteristics, 2) establish the guidelines for developing student desired characteristics, 3) monitor and evaluate the development of student desired characteristics at Ban Bawa school under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3. The research employed two spirals of a four- stage participatory action research process comprising: planning, action, observation and reflection. The samples were 17 participants, including the researcher and co-researchers and 111 informants. The target groups were 290 students at Ban Bawa school under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3. The research instruments were a form of interview, and a form of behavior assessment. Quantitative data were analyzed by mean, percentage and standard deviation. Descriptive presentation was applied for qualitative data analysis.

The findings were as follows:

1. In terms of problems concerning desired characteristics of students in Ban Bawa School, the student behaviors as a whole were at a moderate level. However, there were some unacceptable student behaviors needing improvement such as failing to follow school regulations, inattentive learning behaviors, being uneconomical, being selfish, and using rough languages.

2. The guidelines for developing student desired characteristics involved three components: 1) a field trip to exemplary school, 2) a workshop, and 3) a six-activity program for developing student desired characteristics comprising morning school assembly, saving activity, a star award for area of each member responsibility for cleaning, student buddy, greeting and smiling activity, and records of good deeds.

3. The effects after the intervention indicated that the student desired characteristics as a whole were at the highest level compared with the pre-intervention at a moderate level of mean scores.
