การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษา  1) ระดับการบริหารจัดการที่ดีของเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจกองร้อยตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 236 2) ระดับประสิทธิผลการปฏิบัติงานด้านการช่วยเหลือประชาชนของเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจกองร้อยตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 236  และ 3) ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการบริหารจัดการที่ดีกับประสิทธิผลการปฏิบัติงานด้านการช่วยเหลือประชาชนของเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจกองร้อยตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 236 ประชากรกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่สังกัดกองร้อยตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 236 อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครพนม จำนวน 136 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ร้อยละ ค่าสถิติ t-test ค่าสถิติ F-test และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน  (Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient)  

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

1. การบริหารจัดการที่ดีของเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจกองร้อยตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 236 อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครพนม โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากทุกด้าน (X̅ = 4.01) เรียงลำดับจากค่าเฉลี่ยมากไปหาน้อยได้ดังนี้ ด้านสวัสดิการ ด้านระบบ ด้านบุคลากร  และด้านสถานที่  

2. ประสิทธิผลการปฏิบัติงานด้านการช่วยเหลือประชาชนของเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจกองร้อยตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 236 อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครพนม โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (X̅ = 4.48) เรียงลำดับจากค่าเฉลี่ยมากไปหาน้อยได้ดังนี้ ด้านการช่วยเหลือสงเคราะห์ประชาชน ด้านการดำเนินงานตามโครงการพระราชดำริ ด้านการปฏิบัติงานมวลชนสัมพันธ์ และด้านการศึกษาแก่ชุมชน 

3. ผลการวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการบริหารจัดการที่ดีกับประสิทธิผลการปฏิบัติงานด้านการช่วยเหลือประชาชน พบว่า  ตัวแปรอิสระแต่ละด้านมีความสัมพันธ์กัน เมื่อพิจารณาค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวแปรอิสระการบริหารจัดการที่ดีแต่ละด้านพบว่า มีความสัมพันธ์กับตัวแปรตามประสิทธิผลการปฏิบัติงานโดยรวม อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 โดยมีค่าสหประสิทธิ์สัมพันธ์ระหว่าง -0.003 – 0.655

The purposes of this study were to investigate: 1) a degree of good management practice of police officers in the 236th Border Patrol Police Company, 2) a degree of effectiveness of the operation of public assistance of police officers in the 236th Border Patrol Police Company, and 3) the relationship between good management practice and effectiveness of the operation of public assistance of police officers in the 236th Border Patrol Police Company. The target population used in this study was 136 border patrol police officers who were affiliated with the 236th Border Patrol Police Company, Mueang district, Nakhon Phanom province. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, mean, standard deviation, percentage, t-test, F-test and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.

The findings were as follows.

1. The good management practice of police officers in the 236th Border Patrol Police Company, Mueang district, Nakhon Phanom province as a whole was at high level (mean = 4.01), whose aspects can be arranged from higher to lower mean scores respectively as follows: welfare, system, personnel, and location.

2. The effectiveness of the operation of public assistance of police officers in the 236th Border Patrol Police Company, Mueang district, Nakhon Phanom province as a whole was at high level (mean = 4.48) whose aspects can be arranged in order from higher to lower mean scores as follows: ‘public assistance,’ ‘implementation of the royal project,’ ‘public relations in practice,’ and ‘providing education to the community.’

3. The result of analysis of the relationship between good management practice and effectiveness of the operation of public assistance showed that each of the independent variables was interrelated. As the coefficients of correlation of each of the independent variables of good management practice were considered, it was found having the relationship with the dependent variable of effectiveness of the operation of public assistance as a whole at the .01 level of significance by obtaining the correlation coefficients of between 0.003-0.655.
