การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพชีวิตในการทำงานของข้าราชการตำรวจกองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 23 ตำบลธาตุเชิงชุม อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสกลนคร และ 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตในการทำงานของข้าราชการตำรวจ กองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 23 จำแนกตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นข้าราชการตำรวจ กองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 23 ในปี 2559 จำนวน 291 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลคือแบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที (t - test) และการทดสอบค่าเอฟ (F-test) กรณีพบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05 ทดสอบความแตกต่างเป็นรายคู่ด้วยวิธีการ (LSD)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. คุณภาพชีวิตในการทำงานของข้าราชการตำรวจกองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 23 ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก และรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก 5 ด้าน คือ ด้านการบูรณาการทางสังคม ด้านการปฏิบัติงานในสังคม ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ถูกสุขลักษณะและปลอดภัย ด้านระเบียบข้อบังคับในการปฏิบัติงาน ด้านความสมดุลระหว่างชีวิตกับการทำงาน และอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง 3 ด้าน คือ ด้านการพัฒนาความสามารถบุคคล ด้านความก้าวหน้าและความมั่นคงในงานและด้านค่าตอบแทนที่เหมาะสมและเป็นธรรม

2. ผลการเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตในการทำงานของข้าราชการตำรวจกองกำกับการตำรวจตระเวนชายแดนที่ 23 จำแนกตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล เป็นดังนี้

2.1 จำแนกตามเพศและชั้นยศ พบว่า ในภาพรวมและรายด้านไม่แตกต่างกัน

2.2 จำแนกตามอายุราชการ พบว่า ในภาพรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ทุกด้านไม่แตกต่างกัน ยกเว้น ด้านการบูรณาการทางสังคม ด้านความสมดุลระหว่างชีวิตกับการทำงาน และด้านปฏิบัติงานในสังคม ที่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2.3 จำแนกตามระดับการศึกษา พบว่า ในภาพรวมแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 เมื่อพิจารณาในด้านที่ต่างกัน พบว่า ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ถูกสุขลักษณะและปลอดภัย ด้านความก้าวหน้าและความมั่นคงในงาน ด้านการบูรณาการทางสังคม และด้านระเบียบข้อบังคับในการปฏิบัติงาน มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนด้านอื่น ๆ ที่เหลือไม่พบความแตกต่าง

2.4 จำแนกตามสถานภาพสมรส พบว่า ในภาพรวมแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05  เมื่อพิจารณาในด้านที่ต่างกัน พบว่า ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ถูกสุขลักษณะและปลอดภัย ด้านการพัฒนาความสามารถบุคคล ด้านความก้าวหน้าและความมั่นคงในงาน ด้านระเบียบข้อบังคับในการปฏิบัติงาน และด้านการปฏิบัติงานในสังคม แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนด้านอื่น ๆ ที่เหลือไม่พบความแตกต่าง

2.5 จำแนกตามฝ่าย พบว่า ในภาพรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า ทุกด้านไม่แตกต่างกัน ยกเว้น ด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ถูกสุขลักษณะและปลอดภัย ด้านระเบียบข้อบังคับในการปฏิบัติงาน และด้านการปฏิบัติงานในสังคม ที่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

The purposes of this study were: 1) to investigate quality of work life of police officers, the 23rd Border Patrol Police Sub-division, That Choeng Chum Sub-district, Mueang District, Sakon Nakhon province, and 2) to compare quality of work life of police officers, the 23rd Border Patrol Police Sub-division as classified by personal background. A sample was 291 police officers of the 23rd Border Patrol Police Sub-division in 2016. The instrument used in data collection was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way ANOVA (F-test). In case a significant difference was found at the .05 level, a pairwise comparison would be conducted using the LSD (least significant difference) method.

The findings of study were as follows:

1. The overall quality of work life of police officers of the 23rd Border Patrol Police Sub-division was at high level. Five of all aspects were at high level, namely social integration, working in society, environmental hygiene, working rules and regulations, and balance between life and work, while 3 of the remaining were at moderate level, namely development of person’s ability, growth and security in work, and fair and reasonable compensation.

2. The comparison of quality of work life among police officers in the 23rd Border Patrol Police Sub-division as classified by personal background was as the following:

2.1 As classified by sex as well as rank and title, quality of work life among the police officers as a whole and each aspect was found not different.

2.2 As classified by civil service official age, quality of their work life was found not different as a whole. Considering it by aspect, quality of their work life was not found different except for the aspects of social integration, balance between life and work, and working in society which was found significantly different at the .05 level.

2.3 As classified by educational attainment, quality of police officers’ work life was significantly different at the .05 level. Considering the aspects of significant difference at the .05 level, police officers differed in quality of their work life in environmental hygiene, development of person’s ability, growth and security in work, social integration, and working rules and regulations; while the remaining aspects were not found different.

2.4 As classified by marital status, quality of police officers’ work life as a whole was found significantly different at the .05 level. Considering the aspects of significant difference at the .05 level, police officers differed in quality of their work life in environmental hygiene, development of person’s ability, growth and security in work, working rules and regulations, and working in society; while the remaining aspects were not found different.

2.5 As classified by work side or division, quality of police officers’ work life as a whole was not found different. Considering it by aspect, all the aspects were not found different except for the aspects of environmental hygiene, working rules and regulations, and working in society which were significantly different at the .05 level.
